Make Room For The Glory

January 1, 2006

We are just concluding the time of year when many of us have heard messages and songs about making room for Jesus in our hearts. We may think that we have made room for Him in our lives and our hearts, but are there still things in our lives that are keeping Jesus from having our whole heart? I think we must all honestly answer, "yes". Now is the time for us to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal these things to us so that we can prepare to be filled with the glory that the Lord is beginning to pour out upon His body. The days ahead will be like none that we have know in the past.

Before Brother Kenneth Hagin went to be with the Lord, he had a prophesy for 2006. What he saw in a vision was difficult to put into words. All he could say was, "Now what about 2006? There is no way to tell it! Oh Lord, oh my! How do you describe it? And that is just the beginning. Yeah, when I say 'beginning' I'm talking about what happens just at the beginning of the year! And it will grow in intensity...it will be a glorious year. It will be a year of heaven on earth! But the end of the year will be even more glorious than the beginning."

Pastor Keith Butler of Detroit, Michigan has said, by the Spirit, that 2006 is the year of total fulfillment.

If we believe the prophets of God, we should make it a priority to prepare ourselves to receive all that God has for us. There is nothing that this world has to offer that can compare. We must learn to put God first place in our lives. When we give Him our best, we are open to receive His best. As the days grow darker for those that are in the world, our days will grow brighter and more glorious, and as the stars reflect the light of the sun, so will we reflect the light of "The Son" to a lost and dying world.

Proverbs 4: 18, 19 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto that perfect day. The path of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. (Confusion)

Isaiah 60: 1-3 Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord will arise upon you, and His glory will be seen upon you, and the Gentiles will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Read Ephesians 3: 14-21 as a prayer over yourself and the members of your family.

Ephesians 1: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

1 Corinthians 4: 6, 7 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

It is time for us to lay aside every weight and encumbrance that would keep us from running with God. It is time to make room for the glory!
