Faith In The Work Of Redemption

Romans 5: 17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

Until our minds are renewed by the Word of God, we will have more faith in the effect of sin upon the earth than we do in the redemptive work of Jesus. We can see the effect of sin all around us. Sickness, poverty, corruption and devastation are abundant everywhere we look. Yet we see in the Word that the effect of righteousness through the blood of Jesus is greater than anything that Satan accomplished when he usurped Adam's authority and brought sin in the earth. When Satan attempts to attack us, be it through sickness, lack or fear, we should respond with faith in the blood of Jesus, and speak forth that we are the redeemed of the Lord and declare that Satan has no dominion over us.

Rev. 12: 11 And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.

1 Peter 5: 8&9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour, whom resist steadfast in the faith knowing the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Satan cannot devour at will. He has to find someone who will fold under his pressure and who will not resist him. God has already done his part of overcoming the devil in our lives. Jesus gave His all to defeat the enemy. It is now up to us to pick up the sword of the Word, hold high our shield of faith and fight. The fight of faith is the only fight that aChristian is called to fight.

Romans 12: 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 John 4: 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

The Greater One lives in us, and what He has done through redemption is greater than what Satan did through Adam's disobedience.

Hosea 4: 6 My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.

Proverbs 4: 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 4: 20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

We will be controlled by what our attention is given to. There is an abundance of God's Word available to us. We are without excuse in this great land that we live in. The more we meditate on God's Word, the more understanding we will have concerning our redemption and our faith will grow and enable us to overcome the test and trials of life.
