Complete Transformation

Romans 12:2- Do not be conformed to this world [adapted to its external and superficial customs] but be transformed by the entire renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and new attitude], so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you.

James 1:4- But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfectly and fully developed [with no defects] lacking in nothing.

We need to seriously strive to allow the Word of God to transform our way of thinking in every area of life. This is the way that we have access to the mind of Christ. It is all a part of Christ being formed in us.

Galatians 4:19- My little children, for who I am again suffering birth pangs until Christ is completely and permanently formed and molded within you.

"Little children", in this passage is referring to Christian converts in the infancy stage. When we are born again, our spirit man passes from death unto life, but the renewing of our minds is an ongoing process. We are a spirit (created in the image of God), we have a soul(which is our mind, will and emotions), and we live in a body of flesh, which makes us a candidate for legal authority in the earth. Our soul will war against the spirit until it is renewed to God's way of thinking. Our body will follow whichever is the stronger of the two.
As the mind of Christ is formed in us and we begin to walk in the light of His Word, we then can exercise authority over the powers of darkness, because we know the Greater One dwells in us and we are not overcome with evil, but we overcome evil with good.

James 1: 21- So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.

1 Thessalonians 5: 23- And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

Ephesians 1:23- Which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].
